CURRICULUM

The Traditional Okinawan Karate Institute teaches the art of Isshin Ryu Karate.  Beginner students will start with the protocol of the dojo and will learn how to wear their uniform and tie their own belt.

We specialize in nurturing children with character building tools found only in karate. No other sport can match them. Our adults receive a great cardiovascular workout and realistic self-defense techniques.   Our belt system works as an indicator of the student's knowledge, skill, and attitude. Students must earn their rank.

Our facility has several certified black belt instructors who assist in the classes.  We have a trained staff of patient instructors who love to work with children. We enforce rules of good behavior in the dojo as well as at home and in school.   Master Carl Martin oversees every class taught at the school.  Limited class sizes insure individual instruction.
